Did you know that Copper Crayola Crayons (say that three times fast!) turn blue-green on the outside just like pennies do when left out in the air for a long time? Crazy! Anyone know why? Nicole supposes that maybe there's traces of actual copper used to make the crayon color, and that seems to make sense. It happens to Gold ones as well.
(And I mean a LONG time, a few years, so I'm not sure anyone else will have observed this. Most people probably don't keep crayons around for that long.)
